Prologue To "Why is your door locked?" I screamed. It was locked from the outside while we were in. "Oh shit,oh shit, Jade what are we going to do?" She had been like this for the past ten minutes, just screaming what are we going to do. I was just standing there getting hella nervous from her screaming. "Does your mom know I'm here? Jayla stop screaming already, god just break down the damn door!" She was just stalking back and forth across her dark purple room. "Yeah she knows you're here, she called your parents to make sure it was okay, Jade I'm scared." She stopped dead in her tracks when she said that. She had this look of fear on her face that said everything she wasn't. "Tell me everything now, Jayla," I said. She sat down and started fidgeting with her hands. She still had on the clothes from last night. "We were both drunk last night and you know I sober up faster than you." It was true, I recalled all the times she drank just as much as I did, but then had to carry me to bed because I couldn't make it there myself. "I walked into the living room this morning when I heard my mom on the phone talking to my dad about me. You could tell it was him by the way she was crying. She was saying that she couldn't do this anymore and that I have to go away for awhile. I just hid there thinking I can't believe this shit. She kept saying "You have to take her. What do you want me to do? Lock her up in her room? You'll be sorry when they come to take her away and you did nothing to help." Click. "She just hung up on him and sat there staring into space, so I just tiptoed back to my room." |
