I Fear the Fin by Kyle Cruz

Hues of orange and yellow

Make me one happy fellow

But not this time

For I hear the chime

It's the sound only death can make

As he announces he's about to take

Everything from past, present, and future

A time line that requires suture

Woven beneath my frame

Is what the Devil came here to claim

As he smokes his cigar

We hear god arrive in his car

All three players assemble

Leaving me to tremble

As they decide my fate

On what tax payers call rate

I close my eyes and start to think

Of each and every link

All my friends and family that I adore

Telling me I've got so much in store

So I open my eyes and hold the chain tight

For I know wrong can still be done right

With this grasp of my soul and beat in my heart

I take my running start

For what lies ahead may seem so very far

I know in the end I'll be a star

Beyond Heaven and Earth

Is when my story truly begins its birth
